The most difficult areas in which to find parking are historic centers and areas near stations. In Rome, parking is nearly impossible in neighborhoods such as Trastevere, Prati, San Giovanni, and San Lorenzo. In Milan, the most problematic areas include San Siro, Parco Sempione, Cadorna, and the Navigli. The worst times? Between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., when families go home, or between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., during rush hour.
